As a member of the Wil Gravatt Band, Nick has shared the stage with Lynyrd Skynrd, Mark Wills, Darryl Worley, Junior Brown, Pat Green, Gary Nunn, and the Dixie Power Trio.

'Bout Time was recorded at Sacred Ground Studios, Spotsylvania, VA, Salamone's Recording, Fredericksburg, VA, and EQ Recording, Thornburg, VA. Engineered and produced by Donny Holcombe.

PRESS

"Armed with a raspy, souful voice ... Nick shines on the more bluesy tracks of 'Bout Time. ... 'Something Left Inside' has strong acoustics, but 'Take Me Away' has a stronger R&B, jazz sound made smooth and delightful with cool electronics."
- Ashley Chappell, Indie-Music.com, Jan 2004

"McAlister's influences, along with his instrumental prowess, are clearly in evidence throughout - one hears Stevie Ray in his vocals and a bit of Van Morrison in the tightly arranged horn section."
- Lisa Iannucci, OnTap, July 2003

"Nick McAlister has something refreshing and spectacular about what he presents in his music on his 'Bout Time CD. ... take your own spin ... and then make the best buy you have made in a while."
- Mary Rudy, Muzik Reviewz, August 2003

"Nick McAlister has a disc out called 'bout time! It is a solid album with quality musicianship all over it."
-Laurin Wollan, Music Monthly, July 2003

My favorite songs on this cd are Your Eyes and Girl Like You, but there is not a bad song in the bunch. Nick has a very strong voice and he displays it well in the variety of musical styles on this album. If you can't find several songs on this CD that you really love, then you are not a music lover.

  • Utterly fantastic artistry
