max Yasgur's Farm is comprised of Doug Robertson, Bene Michael, Sarah Anderson and blues guitarist Dan Mikeal.

Instead of striving to re-create note for note renditions of the songs they cover, these musicians looked deeper to reconnect with the passion of the era. "Sure, we strive to get the music right," explains founder Doug Robertson, "but we listen to the concerts and try to capture the heart of the live performances of the time."

And capture they do. Their Freshman release: "SALUTE", features a rendition of "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" that is patterned after the Crosby Stills & Nash performance of the song when this brand new, scared trio played it with only one guitar and three vocals to half a million people in a disaster area called Woodstock. Yasgar's Farm is electrifying. With acoustic instruments, they somehow manage to move, drive and rock the house.

"We perform songs that cover bands don't touch." beams Robertson. It's true! “SALUTE” features the early Beatles "Anna", and “I Should Have Known Better”; Mama's & Papa's "California Dreaming”; Moody Blues “Story in your Eyes”; and Doby Grey’s “Drift Away”.

The band also throws in jaw dropping vocal harmonies with CSN's "Helplessly Hoping”; Neil Diamonds “Solitary Man”; Judy Collins “Someday Soon”; America’s “Ventura Highway”; and the Eagles “Peaceful Easy Feeling”.

Outstanding acoustic guitar work highlights the blues favorite “Before You Accuse Me” and the album is topped off with Sergeant Pepper seasoning in their tongue in cheek original song, “Shove It”.

This is a great representation of the abilities of this authentic Woodstock tribute band. Hopefully, it is the beginning of many more appearances by max Yasgur's Farm.
