notes

The Max Panconi Trio hails from Italy.Their style is a modern interpretation of classic 1950´s Rock and Roll ala´Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran.Max is crazy about old guitars from the good decades and plays mainly guitars of the brand Gretsch. The CD is a real good mix between swinging orchestra music, Rockabilly and Stray Cats style 1980s Neo Rockabilly.

"Race with the Devil" is a CD that will remind you of the fun rock and roll of the 50s. Screaming guitars, screaming horns, energetic vocals, 50s style, this is fun stuff. The horn section sounds great, the guitar work is impressive, and the rhythm section will get your feet moving. Our favorite tracks include "She's My Girl" and "One More Girl." Check out the tasteful acoustic guitar work in "You Do Me Something." If you enjoy artists such as Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Mitch Ryder, or the Stray Cats, you'll love this CD.
