A masterful montage !
author: Laura T Lynch of Kweevak.comThis nine-track collection is diverse and showcases dynamic instrumentation. The majority of the complex arrangements clock in at over five minuets, melding a variety of moods, paces and styles. This CD is improvisational exploring rock, psychedelic, acid jazz and trance. The music is ambient and the band is both experimental yet tight. Each song has something magical to offer but my favorites happened to be the first two songs. Both 'Higher Love' and 'I'm Searchin' feature Diane Harris on flute adding a whole other dimension to songs with funky rhymes and soulful vocals. These songs and the tracks that follow are imaginative and expand upon the synergy of the band. Transparent is a masterful montage of genres and first rate musicianship that should appeal to a wide range of listeners!
