notes
Rock and Roll isn’t dead, Matt Beal is here. Born to play guitar and destined to rock, his songs are well crafted and the musicianship is top notch. Matt Beal is an accomplished Rock guitarist. The blistering pick scrapes and cranked tube amps are sure to satisfy old school Rock fans. With a sound of his own Matt resurrects the dying art of the guitar solo and incorporates leads reminiscent of Slash and Randy Rhoads. Although true to his Rock roots each song is diverse in its style and delivery, and they’re catchy. The messages range from political and on the verge of rebellion to deep and introspective. His voice is an extension of his personality and has the qualities of Bon Scott, Chris Robinson, and Ozzy while remaining fresh and original. Matt Beal is sure to rise as a leader in the coming Rock resurgence.

Matt Beal plays rock and roll guitar - plain and simple
author: Dr. MusicHere’s an artist that walks tall and carries his guitar like a battle axe. Matt Beal is a guitar fanatic. As he says, “I love the way guitars sound. Nowadays, everyone tries to make guitars sound like everything but guitars.” He also told me of his love for vintage guitars and guitar solos, and his appreciation of music “back when it had a message.” With his debut disc, entitled “Contributions For An Atom Bomb,” Beal has his guitar sound on display along with a few messages as well. Starting the disc with a recording of himself as a child, saying “I wanna sing it with my guitar,” Beal rips into the title cut, and it quickly becomes obvious that his love for the instrument is something that has been thriving for many years. Listening to the classic rock guitar sound of “Guarantee” and the stylish sound he generates on “Things I Don’t Need” is only the beginning of what Beal has accomplished here. The superb pop/rock zip of “Love’s The Drug” is to die for, and the devastatingly heavy “Cuffyvitmitt” is an in-your-face, sock in the chops. Beal does quite a bit with his six-string assault weapon here, and he never leaves the realm of straight forward, good time rock and roll. I like that. Besides being a fine musician, Matt Beal is also controlling his own destiny with an entrepreneurial venture. Corporate Anarchy Records is a label he founded with partner/musician Kori Lynn “out of the frustration of the limited thinking of the people we were meeting in the music industry.” He says, “Part of why we founded Corporate Anarchy is to retain creative freedom and the right to say and do what we want as artists and musicians.” Some of that creative freedom and bitterness toward the industry hounds can be heard on songs like “Get In,” with lyrics as follows: First they tell you that they're on your team / But then you realize it ain't so / Everything may not be as it seems / Are you friend or are you foe / What you reap is what you sow / As above, so below. Let me just say that Beal has sown a rich crop here, and with his intelligent plan for Corporate Anarchy Records in full swing, harvest time is coming soon.
Blazin' guitar solo's, killer lyrics, and a voice that speaks to millions
author: Julia Rose"Contributions for an Atom Bomb" is a Rock N' Roll masterpiece. This album will be remembered for decades to come. Matt Beal's guitar playing is phenomenal and flawless; a guitar hero to say the least. On top of being a total SHREDDER, the songs are extremely addictive and thought provoking. Matt Beal is not only a rockstar, but he is the voice of the future.
This CD delivers the goods! Matt Beal is the REAL DEAL!
author: Romeo RoseFirst off, I'm a Bluesman, I used to listen to Rock/Metal, but I hardly ever listen to it anymore. In my opinion, there hasn't been a REAL Rock N Roll record released since 1994 when GNR released the Illsuion CDs. Rock and Roll was on it's last legs until Matt Beal came along! Matt Beal is a combination of Slash meets Randy Rhoads, he's the next GUITAR HERO. If you don't know who he is now, just wait, he's about to become a Household Name that will be mentioned in the same sentences with Rhoads, Slash, and Malmsteen! This CD lives up to the hype! I almost always listen to this CD twice in a row during each listening session! It's that addictive! The samples on the PC don't do it justice, you gotta here this cranked on a real speaker system! Matt Beal is the most original Rock guitarist to come along in over a decade! This CD has alot of diversity in the songs, and really shows off what Matt is capable of, and that is ANYTHING he sets his mind to!!! Matt Beal is a true ROCKSTAR! If you don't buy this CD, then you don't know what real ROCK is all about, maybe you've already gone deaf listening to posers like Winger & Nelson. I'm serious, if you don't buy this CD, you are really not the cool Headbanger you think you are, and you have no idea what you are missing out on! Please do not deprive your CD player of this awesome CD! This is one purchase you will NOT regret!!!
