Mason originates from Southport on Queensland's sunny Gold Coast. With his outstanding vocals, guitar and lap slide guitar, Mason continues to deliver a high impact performances to audiences everywhere he and his members appear.
Together with his band or Trio, Mason feels most comfortable playing blues, rock and original live music locally and interstate. MASON started performing at the tender age of 6, father BILLY RACK was an awesome muso and all round LEGEND. Mason is a local artist with incredible talent and passion for his music!
Personally invited to East Coast Blues & Roots festival, Mason Rack Band have leaped into the higher performing end of live acts. There's a great drum duel , where Mason gets into the audience playing drums on all things surrounding him, returns to Glen (the band's drummer) ,then duels it out in synch with the audience left gob smacked, people have never seen anything like it.

Excellent Modern Singer-Songwriter CD
author: William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team"Join Hands" by The Mason Rack Band is a tremendous bluesy folk rock CD with a modern consciousness. The songs rely on simplicity in the arrangements to effectively allow Mason's wonderful vocals to take center stage. His rich, intimate, and breathy at times delivery reminds us of Ben Harper and has a very enjoyable quality that made us want to keep coming back to this CD to listen again and again. The songwriting on the CD is excellent as well, with relevant lyrics and memorable choruses. Highlights include the title track "Join Hands," which encompasses everything about the band's sound and features some creative lyrics. "Dust" gets extra bluesy with the vocals and some nice guitar progressions. "Friends" wraps things up in a big way with screeching vocals and an intense build. If you enjoy modern singer songwriters such as Ben Harper and Jack Johnson, you'll love this outstanding CD.
