Our first, CD, "Music with Kids" reflects our feelings about children's music: Being a kid should be FUN and so should being a parent. As was quoted in the Boulder County Family Connection, “There are plenty of sweet rainbow and pony songs out there; it’s refreshing to hear one that talks about bugs crawling up your arm,” (“Big Green Bug”). Kids laugh at the silliness of making popping noises with their cheek ("My Body’s an Instrument") and a stinky skunk on the porch ("Wild Things"); parents relate to having a good pair of shoes (“Sensible Shoes”) and the joy of snuggling with a child at bedtime (“Snuggle in Your Bed”). Our music may have a lesson in science, safety or literacy, but the children are unaware of these goals as they just enjoy our music. With two guitars and a few shakers, “Music with Kids” is full of original tunes that keep young ones dancing, older kids laughing and parents humming along.
