notes
In her straightforward, "just-talking" style Mary brings you story retellings that are fresh, innovative, classic, and classy. "Eleven Cinderellas" is a unique multi-cultural retelling of the Cinderella tale. In "Three Sisters and the Troll" the youngest sister uses observation and action to save her older sisters and herself from a troll in this retelling of a Norwegian folktale. "Kate Crackernuts" is a tale of step-sisterly courage and devotion.
With twenty-plus years of storytelling experience, Mary says just enough words to bring the stories to life in the hearts and minds of her listeners.

Another Gem from Mary Hamilton!
author: Bob FlynnI'll start out by saying that my family loves Mary's work, so I am unabashedly biased. Long before we had kids my wife and I used her recordings in support of our ESL classes in Hungary. The students begged for more. Now our girls, 5 and 8, beg for Mary’s stories. This collection's ingenious “medley” of Cinderella tales from around the world is a true delight. Thanks to the copious references in the liner notes we will be heading to the library to find the full versions of many of the tales. What better endorsement of Mary’s work than to say it leaves us thirsting for more?
