Plastik Lies is a new PowerRock band that was born in 2001 and has all the earmarks to become a great band: an original sound, sublime melodies and an infinite dedication to the music. The Band was founded by four members issued from the Montreal musical scene: Matt Toupin brilliantly attacking the drums, Martin Lamontagne banging the bass, Hugo Lebrasseur rushing the guitar and Martin Pronn tearing his vocal cords out.
At 10 years old, Pronn found his dad's guitar hidden in the closet and from that moment ,discovered his vocation. At only 15 he was one of the founder members of Haze and Shuffle (See the articles at the end), 3 years after they signed a record deal with Arista Records. A couple years passed and willing to go further in his inspiration, Pronn formed Plastik Lies. He putted all his soul in the writing of an album that would be entitled Dead Man in a Band. It's that sincere, deep and striking album that brings a solid foundation to the band.
With Unsuperficial Madness, , Martin Pronn leads us into a world where the extreme and the accessibility reigns. All songs reflect a marginal life-style while staying connected. With it's piercing and powerful vocals and the hard guitar-driven progressive riffs, Plastik Lies plunges into the essence of rock with a new millennium sound .
All the lyrics, the music and the production of Unsuperficial Madness is credited to Martin Pronn. The result shows us all the music knowledge of the musician who avoids unnecessary studio tricks while presenting the band in its most forceful natural state. Those ten tracks were chosen for the record: "Fire", "Plastik Lies", "Rocked up Life", "Indoor", "Phoney", "Overcome", "SuperSolid", " Suffocated", " Can I Fly?" and "Heal".
PL was created with a primary objective, reaching the highest musical standards by grouping the best musicians and to merge all their energies. All of them put their hearts and their music experiences to preserve the identity of the band. With the new album, the quartet delivers us a solid performance where the aggressivity and the smoothness are mixed together perfectly.

author: Matt LeBlackPlastik Lies is probably the best new Indie rock band. Awesome vocals that reminds me Ozzy Osbourne and Peter Gabriel. The music bring a solid edge to the great melodies and the strong lyrics. One of my best discovery, Thanx guy's for rockin!!!

When i put the album in the radio, i just can't stop til its finished and thats rare these time with all the boring stuff out there. If you have one album to try, that's the one.
