Blues and Country run through it like a river but you cannot get away from the rock.

GREETINGS EARTHLINGS!

Martian Acres has just finished its second CD, From Waltz to War, a two-year project of love.
---The first song, Road To Hell was picked as one of 3 finalists in the 2005 John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Gospel/Inspirational category.

As you will note, the new material is just as varied and un-nicheable as that on the first CD.

”Well the road, the road to hell it grows a mile a day, it’s so smooth, it’s down hill all the way” a line from the song Road to Hell begins the journey of redemption and choice with Martian Acres traversing the universe and landing near Kansas City where, “it’s only half way home when your all alone”. Waltz is the truest country song on the CD where Grace sings “You can’t just waltz out of heaven and leave your partner alone on the floor”. Look out for the swampy blues of Yardman that has Dennis moaning like a devil is on his trail!

Recently playing to a hometown crowd for their CD release party they “rocked the house” at a sold out show at Nissi’s in Lafayette, Co.

At its core, Martian Acres is comprised of two Boulder musicians/songwriters Bob Story and Dennis Wanebo, who combined their very different personal and professional backgrounds to create this music they call "alt Boulder". Grace, the featured vocalist on many tunes has a voice that possesses an incredible quality your ear will beg for many times over!

  • Best lyrics and rythmic guitar since early Dylan/Baez era. Fab graphics too.

Best lyrics and rythmic guitar since early Dylan/Baez era. Fab graphics too. Really gets your toes tapping and soon you will be singing along with cool booklet that comes with cd. Grace and Dennis belt it out and gravel it down.
