I learned of this album through my continued support and enthusiasm for the music of Jack Johnson. This CD contains a song called "Country Road" a featured duet with Paula Fuga and Jack Johnson which has been seeing increased radio play across the state of Hawaii and slowly branching out internationally. The CD also features some cool conscious music by up and coming and veteran Hawaii music artists such as Kupa'aina, John Cruz, Moemoea, Ooklah the Moc, The Girlas among others. It is a sensational package for its price and packs a wallop of good listening tracks that can be left on play throughout the day. Also purchasing this album supports alternatives in Hawaiian education as well as the environmental education and awareness that Jack Johnson has been promoting so well and passionately.
collection of songs from true Hawai'i artists
author: jawaiianstyleeenothing but beautiful original songs from true artists of Hawai'i, not those over-played covers on the radio. Support local music especially those with messages cause they inspire us all.
Unbelievable! Ive Never heard anything like it! Best find in years..
author: KekoaWhere to begin? Chapters could not explain... You just need to experience each song fully to appreciate the diversity in styles, freestyles, it'll take you hours to listen to it all! Music and lyrics are SWEET even if you didn't know it was a student (sounding pro), or underground artist. And seeing the pros in a different element, doing styles and subject matter you'd never see on their albums, even backyard freestyles... It is easy to make a donation to help keep 12 good schools open, when it comes with a motherload of music, and about a dozen epic tracks amongst them. CHECK EM OUT PEOPLES! THIS SHOULD BE ON THE RADIO!
