  • Wow!!!
    author: Terence Culpepper

When I first played this CD, I didn't expect the energy and excitement that came through my speakers. Although I have seen Ms. Watanabe play at different restaurants either as a soloist or supporting musician and enjoyed listening to her play, this CD represents a different side of this musician. Clearly, this isn't your typical jazz pianist; She's not afraid to take some chances and it really pays off in the listener's favor! Do not purchase CD expecting to get another release filled with classic jazz standards, instead, this musican has got a lot to say and does so with such dexterity and finese that will make you want to just still back and enjoy the ride!!!
