Charles MacInerney R.Y.T. has studied Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga and Meditation for 35 years with 17 different teachers, including Thich Nhat Hanh (a Vietnamese Buddhist monk), and has been teaching since 1989.

In addition to founding Expanding Paradigms, Charles is also the co-founder of the Texas Yoga Retreat, and the Living Yoga Teacher Training Program. He holds a 500 hour registration with the Yoga Alliance, their highest level of recognition.

Charles has a remarkable ability to use his voice, rhythm, language and silence to help students, patients, and clients to reach deeper states of relaxation and meditation. He has led meditation and visualization workshops at the University of Texas for 12 years. In addition, Charles has taught visualization for healing in hospitals, visualization for creativity and also stress management in corporations including 3M, IBM, and Apple. He has led workshops and retreats through out the US, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.

Charles is regularly quoted in the Yoga Journal, and occasionally writes for their ‘Ask our Expert’ column. A full-time teacher, lecturer and facilitator, he has worked with over 15,000 students. Clients include: SXSW, Seton Hospital, Brackenridge Hospital, IBM, 3M, Sematech, Apple, Motorola, and The University of Texas. He has presented at National Wellness Conferences, the International Conference on Yoga for Positive Health, the SW Yoga Conference, and twice been the Key-note Speaker at the Seton Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Conference.
