notes
I've been a mom, teacher, software engineer, rancher, and now am a songwriter. This is the most fun!
I write songs about real children, and get all my material from the stories my friends share with me about their fabulous, brilliant and handsome children and grandchildren and the nifty things they do. I love jazz and the blues, and these elements are in every song, yet they are simple and easy to sing and play.
Even very little children love these songs; they are about them and the things they do.
"Catch a Fish," sung by Kelly McPhail and Jim Donelan, was featured on The Osbournes December 10, 2002. We were pretty excited about that!
Kenny Curtis, PRogRam diRecToR of XMKiDS! for XM Satellite Radio selected a couple of my songs for broadcast on XMKiDS: "Let's Sing La La La" and "Lullaby for Eliza Grace." These songs will play during their preschool program called ShortWave (9am - 12Noon PST, 12Noon - 3pm EST. And, "Lullaby for Eliza Grace" will be added to the DreamCatchers program that runs at bedtime and overnight.

Warm, witty, and well-written collection of tunes for the family.
author: Jan Best, Independepent Songwriter MagazineISWM INDIE PICK OF THE MONTH - Linda has a wonderfully warm and witty sensitivity that is best expressed through her music. Her recent album "Songs For You and Me" is a well-written collection of tunes that brings back the feel of home and family. Although Linda herself doesn't sing to the songs that she's written on this album, she made wise choices when it came to selecting who would do the vocals. And you get to hear it all: mature voices, young voices, gathered voices............the whole spectrum is covered. Many of us forget that our inner child needs to be nourished from time to time. We often neglect it. Linda's music provides a healthy and happy environment in which to nurture and soothe that little person within us all.
My experience with Songs for You & Me
author: Deborah SteinhoffI gave this CD as a gift to my godchild. Her mother and I listened to it and Delaney wandered into the room, pulled up a chair and promptly started singing along, (she is 4yrs old). Her mother said she had never done that before! I myself play it as a pick-me-up. It pleasantly grows on you and you find yourself humming the songs even without the CD!
BRAVO, BRAVO, Melodieous, Calming, Wonderful for children 0 to 5 years
author: Richard I. Goldbaum, Ph. D.Great melodies and lyrics. Catchy, Simple, Easy to understand for children 0 to 5 years, or an older child (5 to 8 years) with a cognitive disability. Would recommend this to any new or expectant parent. Would be a great CD to play at nap or bed time, very soothing and calming.
