Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Luciar (pronounced Lucy-ARR, rolled r’s preferred, but not required), embraces listeners with chilling, passionate and witty tunes. Luciar released her debut album “Rules of the Game” in 2000, earning her awards from The Great American Song Contest, Billboard Songwriting Contest and Windrift Music Songwriting Contest. The long awaited sophomore release SKIN is now ready. With SKIN, Luciar went back to her vocal/piano roots and created a compilation of songs telling us her story of letting go. The piano has been her main instrument since she was 11-years old. Her role as a recording engineer and producer started over 10 years ago, recording and mixing various artist demos and EPs. SKIN is the first full-length production mixed by Luciar. She is gearing up for a Fall tour, hitting Colleges and acoustic venues on the East Coast.

WONDERFUL
author: Christa SandvigI absolutly love this CD. It is incredible how the songs transition. "Too Precious" has such an awesome beat and feeling throughout the entire song. Her harmony in the song is perfect and it makes you understand what she is saying. And "Pretty Girls, Pretty Boys" is always a good time!!! LUCIAR IS AWESOME!!!!
one word: AMAZING!
author: JillianI can't say enough about this album. I LOVE IT. There are some tunes i just belt out, others i just listen to over and over on repeat, and some i just giggle at. I adore any musician who can wail on the piano and trust me, she can wail - vocally and instumentally. I would suggest this album to anyone who likes chicks playing piano and anyone who can appreciate beautiful music.
