(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

Instrumental solo acoustic guitar, in the likes of Michael Hedges, Laurence Juber, etc. Percussive style and lots of alternate tunings.

notes

Acoustic guitar player from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

My main influences are Michael Hedges, Laurence Juber, Eric Johnson, Jim Earp, and a bunch of other guys who like to fool around with alternate tunings.

I have just released my second independent CD, "Acoustical Blackberries", wich is a mix of tracks from my very first CD "Primate Works" and some new tracks.

"For those who might read this but who still haven't heard Luciano's playing- he couples intelligent compositional ideas with solid technique, and weaves everything together with a crisp rhythmic pulse.
The World will soon discover him and his contribution to the Acoustic Guitar. With his talent-it's only a matter of when..."
Jim Earp, april /2005

  • ASTONISHING. BREATHTAKING. STUNNING. SOULFUL.

I've been listening to ‘Acoustical Blackberries’ obsessively -- still I can’t seem to get enough of it! Time and time again I am amazed by how rich and solid each track is. How anyone could manipulate sounds like Luciano does is beyond me -- superlatives just don't seem to do justice to an artist like him, one of the Best Musicians Ever!! The album as a whole is simply mind-blowing and I could only give ‘Acoustical Blackberries’ my highest recommendations.

  • Amazing

Technically precise but melodic acoustic work that is consistently interesting. This artist's syncopated rythms are a surprisingly pleasant contradiction to the relatively minor variations heard in each song's phrasing. I was looking for something extraordinary; this and other albums from Rodrigues definitely provided it.
