The Luchagors formed in October of 2006. With their CD out now, they couldn't be more excited about their future on the road. All of the Luchagors are veterans of the entertainment world. Shane Morton, co-writer of their self titled release, has been in such notable bands as Super-X 13, and Gargantua, where he shared a stage with the current drummer of The Luchagors, Troy King. Bassist Jay Hedberg joined the outfit shortly after the first few shows to add the higher intensity the band was searching for. Amy Dumas fronts the band. Although she is most widely know for her past efforts with a long career performing with the WWE as her character, "Lita", her longtime passion for music is now emerging in the form of The Luchagors. Raw energy, catchy sing along songs, and an exciting live performance makes this band one not to miss.

    This album is amazing! You can definately tell what songs were written during different times in Amy's life. "Goodbye" is such a heartfelt song, and if anyone is a die-hard Amy fan, they'd definately sense it. "Burn" is without a doubt my favourite song. It's without a doubt a "kick ass, take names" type of song and that's what I like :-). If you're a Luchagor fan, there's no way you cannot love "March of the Luchagor", especially with the lyric "you can't deny the Luchagor". Without a doubt, this cd gets 5 stars!!

    From the moment I heard their singles on their myspace page I knew they would be a hit. I recall "Already Gone" was first track I heard. The spirit and life they put into their lyrics make it impossible not to adore it. I can't stop listen to the cd. In my car, on my Stereo shelf system.     I was totally psyched about getting this CD!! I heard a demo on the Luchagors myspace page and thought I have so gotta get this! The moment it came through the post it was straight onto the stereo (after a little screaming in the hall of it's here, it's here!!) Anyway after i got over all that and put the album on and white boy kicked in, I thought wow this is really good and was head banging along in the kitchen!! I can honestly say I love every song in this album and I'm not just saying that, i can dance to them all!! Punk rock is my new love!! Thankyou Amy and The Luchagors!!

    The sound has gone a long way since the first 3 singles. Ihe songs vary as one would be more old-school punk while another would have more of an alternative edge to it. "Already Gone"'s become absolute hit with it's raw power. Overall the endlessly creative team of the CD's made something for everyone, for every mood.

    There's not much you can say about the Greatest Punk Band on Planet Earth but coming from me personally, it doesn't get any better. Since May 2007 when I heard their music for the first I have been completely addicted. After purchasing the album and seeing the band live 4 times and counting it honestly does not get any better. The Luchagors know where they are doing when it comes to creating their own sound, their own message and they do a damn good job doing it all. Amy Dumas fronts the band unlike any other- the edge she creates with her spunk and passion for the music they play is something other bands of today lack something fierce. Shane Morton and Jay Hedberg bring that energy Amy brings to the next level with their amazing, one-of-a-kind talent on their respective instruments. Last but definitely not least drummer, Troy King brings the band together with his equally amazing talent and increases the intensity ten-fold. If you are a fan of music in general and you do not own this album you do not understand what you're missing out on! I would recommend The Luchagors to anyone and everyone-- and I garruntee complete Lucha-satisfaction.

    if i had to write a review about this album than it would be in just one word that is "EXCELLENT"...i was never a big fan of punk/rock but after i got this album it totally changed my taste of music, yes i cant deny the fact that iam one of the "biggest amy/lita fans" in this world but on a very true note this album totally kicks ass, it is a masterpiece..From "white boy" to "the march of the luchagors" the album leaves u begging for more of the luchagors...now iam a certified "LUCHAWHORE" and iam lovin it..i just cant stop listening to it all the time,the band itself is creating a lot of buzz here in INDIA and people just love them, all they want is a music video from the gors so that they can get more and more exposure worldwide.     All 11 track's on this album are awesome because the band went back to punk music's root's. This cd has a message and if you are into punk music of any type I think you will understand the message in this cd and will enjoy every song. This cd is well worth $12.97 of anyone's money I think that's a small price to pay for the enjoyment you will get out of it.I just want to add that the service I got from cd baby was awesome.

    I loved listening to this cd. Tracks such as Miracle,Already Gone,Daddys Girl, and March of The Luchagors were best in my opinion. But all of the songs had awsome vocals and great background music. The songs are far from boring and will end up making you want to sing along. When listening to Miracle I actually felt like I could relate to it and had to start singing along. These lyrics are amazing as with Amy's voice. What aoutomaticaly drew me to this bad at first though was because of the background music. I think its the best that i've heard in a very long time. I wish The Luchagors best of luck. And expect me to buy this album very soon.

    The Luchagors debut album is without a shadow of a doubt an album that will be remembered for a long time. Unlike most bands this one has set a name for itself, setting the measuring stick for all Punk Rock bands to follow. The lyrics on the CD are just simply amazing, with meaning behind them. The band itself being led by former WWE Womans Champion Amy Dumas who has transitioned from kicking total ass in the ring to kicking total complete ass outside the ring by her vocals and lyrics on this cd. She is backed up by some of todays best stars, that many in the public eye do not know about. She is backed up by Jay Hedberg who is on bass who I must say is just simply "WOW" on his playing. Ms. Dumas is also backed by by Shane Morton who is again "WOW" at his guitar skills. And then Troy King..the drummer..who I would have to say would give Tommy Lee a run for the hills. Basically all in all this band is the best band that is on the music scene right now, but I think that after you take time out of your day to sit down and listen to the album you will see exactly what im talking about...JUST SIMPLY AMAZING.

    How can you not love every song on the cd? It gives everyone a little something they can enjoy. You can simply groove to the beats because they work.     I am honestly surprised that I like this album as much as I do. While I am a fan of Amy the wrestler, wasn't sure if the Amy the musician was going to be juat another ex-pro wrestling gimmick. Boy was I foolish. This album has got some serious energy. I am really into punk rock and metal music, so I am not disappointed with the The Luchagors first effort. I hope people can see beyond the fact that Amy was Lita. Everyone does a great job in this album. "Burn" is by far the best song in the album.

    After a change in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) storyline resulted in vicious fan betrayal, Amy Dumas (or Lita as she was then known) decided it was time to throw in the towel. Salvation arrived in Dumas’ underground band, The Luchagors. Concentrating all her time on the band, with a solid line-up of able-bodied musicians (Jay Hedburg on bass, Shane Morton on guitar/backing and now-departed drummer Troy King) it wasn’t going to be long before an album emerged. For the past year The Luchagors have been playing gigs across the United States, building up momentum and recognition for the group, with Dumas’ former wrestling career already a catalyst: causing loyal fans to flock. YouTube has become littered with Luchagors performances, with Dumas’ (legit) MySpace accounts forming a base for fans (christened by the band “The Luchawhores”) featuring sneak-preview demos posted regularly. Now, finally, the debut album has landed. Judging from Amy’s ring attire and attitude it seemed only appropriate that she would follow and a more rock n roll approach to song-writing, which is indeed the case with this album. The album wastes no time in flinging the listener in at the deep-end. The music screams punk and garage, with an overwhelming furious energy. The opening track White Boy kicks off with a heavy guitar riff, backed by twinkling cymbals, before charging through full-throttle. Morton backs with chants of “Hey!” while the anthemic chorus dares you not to sing along as it sticks in your mind hours after you’ve finished listening. Miracle deals with that irritating person that everyone knows, who’s never been exposed to any danger or harm, while you sit counting the days until they get chewed up and spat out. Dumas’ vocals are channelled through alternating speakers throughout the track, a trick not unlike Siouxsie & The Banshees’ “Peek-A-Boo”. A trick that still works exceptionally well. The structure flips around the formula, with a heavy, sluggish chorus striding through to a lightning-fast bridge. Another irresistible track. All There Is remains stunning, and my personal favourite. The demo was (and still is) available on The Luchagors’ MySpace, and in comparison, the band has taken leaps and bounds since then. Ultimately a perfect stomp-along to the pounding fury of King‘s drumming, with Dumas ranting and raving how she’s tired of giving with no appreciation returned. It’s amazing to see how Dumas’ voice has become much stronger and more confident. Dumas is skirting somewhere between Courtney Love and Brody Dalle with this new found edge. Certainly one of the more emotional tracks, showing the tender side to this outfit while still kicking out a hardcore punk attitude. Already Gone kicks us back into garage-punk, slowly rising to higher ground as the track progresses. Possibly autobiographical, possibly not. The song tells the morbid tale of a girl falling endlessly into Hell, too late to be saved. Menacing thoughts, certainly, but it keeps itself steady throughout. Burn continues similar themes to Already Gone, but with more rebellious themes, as the band scream how they’re “Ready to burn! Burn! Burn! Burn!” Another stand-out anthem, and one that has stayed in the bands back catalogue of songs since they started touring. Again, the song has come a long way, but has finished with admirable finesse. Daddy’s Girl screams independence and moving on. This certainly could be auto-biographical, as Dumas flaunts her independence in the face of the “So lonely” companion, with no idea of what to do next. Goodbye burns with ferocity and a stunning hook of a guitar riff. Again, Dumas screams with everything she’s got, unleashing all her anger, before lulling into a tender repetition of “Goodbye” Another shining high point of the album. Janice provides more irresistible hooks, featuring Troy King’s tribal drumming to the war cry of “Don’t pick me up I’m not your baby, baby!” Bastard kicks off with a grungy riff that wouldn’t look out of place on a Sonic Youth album, before kicking off at full throttle, dancing between 200 mph and slow burning heavy garage. It works as well, with a brutal chorus that will certainly bring a smile as Amy screams “I’m a bastard!” More poignant this time around for Crazy World, still soaring confidently, but telling tales of heartbreak and the frightening concept of the real world seeping in. Backed once more by her band, the song rises to a rising yet tender aggression before the finish, without sinking the track. The March Of The Luchagors is just shy of two minutes, providing the ultimate theme song of the band. Morton’s sinister guitar intertwines with a throbbing bass riff from Hedburg, providing a stunning reprise of the album’s more prominent highlights. “Bow down, accept The Luchagors” indeed. Loaded with themes of aggression, regret, resentment and new beginnings, the 11-track album carries 11 sing (and sometimes scream) along anthems that get under your skin from the off. A pleasantly surprising debut. Mature and well executed. Fans of rock music, hardcore punk and riot girrrl should feel right at home, and Amy Dumas certainly wasn’t bluffing when the idea of a band was presented. Let’s hope we hear a lot more from The Luchagors in the future.     First off i got my cd from CD Baby who i cant say anything but good about. They emailed me several times with the funniest emails....but anywho, the cd you ask?? Great. Amy, Jay, and the rest of the gors have put out a kick ass punk cd with balls out music. In this world of cookie cutter pop its good to have hope, and thats what the Luchagors are. The cd is great, live show kicks ass. Heres hoping this wont be their only cd. Hope the mainstream picks up on um soon.

    This album blew me away when I got it. I'd heard All There Is and White Boys before purchasing the album and knew I liked those tracks. But when I sat and listened to the whole album I found Amy's vocal styling unique and the music addictive. My favourite track is Already Gone, closely followed by Goodbye, White Boy, and Crazy World. I love all the tracks, and as soon as the CD was in the computer I added the entire album to my iPod. It's great for working out to as the high energy of the music motivates me to work hard.

    Since the day I got the cd in the mail, I can't stop listening to it. Its my pick me up during the day, my motivation when I work out and the way I winded down after a long stressful day. I love the music especially the song Burn. It really speaks volumes to me. The Cd is worth buying.

    I absolutley love this album. It's a unique sound with high energy guitar solos, lyrics that everyone can relate too, awesome vocals and great drumming. It's total pure punk rock passion and even if you're not a follower of punk rock music you will be after this. Although i love all the songs my favourites would have to be Already Gone, Goodbye, Janice, Crazy World and Daddy's Girl. White Boy- It has a great intro with high energy and is extremely catchy. Miracle- Changes pace throughout the song but works well with the use of the music. All there is- Love the drum solo which is then joined by the guitars setting up the song. Definatly a song that will have you singing along. Already Gone- Love the start, and one of my favourite songs with awesome lyrics and vocals. Burn- This one gives off loads of energy and makes you want "to set this town on fire" Daddy's Girl- Love it. Everything about the song is awesome, totally relateable. Goodbye- "Woah yeah woah oh oh" Another awesome track for everyone involved. Janice- "Dont pick me up i'm not your baby" so catchy, vocals are amazing and love the guitar solos. Bastard- great bass & guitar work, very high energy. Crazy World- Listen to the lyrics so true, extremely catchy. March of the Luchagors- intro is amazing! BOW DOWN & ACCEPT THE LUCHAGORS. The whole album will leave you wanting more, i know i do! Amy is awesome on vocals with such a great sound, and Jay & Shane are amazing on the bass and guitar and great drum work Troy.     This album is totally awesome! It's unique and like no other! The tunes are catchy and get stuck in your head. I love how its punk rock and metal at the same time! My fave songs are Janice, Bastard and Miracle... Heck, I love all of the songs. There isnt anything like this anywhere! It isnt cliche like some of the more mainstream bands. It has a totally new cool style of their own. You can really tell how much effort they've put in to make this. You wont regret getting this album cos all the songs are really great, the guitar and drum beats, voice,... it has everything! And you will love all of the songs in it! I just cant get enough of it! The songs make you wanna just jam and rock out.

    This CD is one that sticks in your head all day long, you'll love this even if you aren't a Punk Rocker....seriously i'm loving this CD, the Vocals by Amy are really good and they suit the music. The Drums remind me of Blondie's drummer Clem Burke, (ask your parents) and Jay and Shane just rock on the Bass and Guitar. Well worth the money, I haven't heard a band like this in a looonnnggg time so give credit where it's due. You won't regret buying this Cd the Key songs on the album are definately Janice, All There Is, Already Gone, WHITE BOY and my personal favourite Daddy's Girl. Seriously just buy it, you will not be disappointed. Good Music lasts forever and so will The Luchagors. Luchawhore Velvetcaz

    I tottally love this album. All of the songs are great. The sound is different and unique and it is like no other. My favorite songs are, All There Is, Daddy's Girl, Bastard and Crazy World. The lyrics are relateable to all people from all walks of life. I reccomend this CD to Anybody.

    This CD is really, simply amazing! The vocals and the music blend perfectly to get that great rock sound. This isn't one of those CDs that you can pick a favorite song from. They all have a catchy beat and lyrics that get stuck in your head so you sing the songs till no end. Previewing the songs gives no justice to what power the CD will deliver!

    SERIOUSLY BUY THIS ALBUM - GO NOW! It's AMAZING! Jay is SO GREAT on bass, Shane = GUITAR HERO & Amy is AWESOME... she's got a different sound & I LOVE IT! "Burn" is my favorite, it's so high energy! It's got a good guitar solo in it too. "Janice" will be stuck in your head for days -- don't worry that's a good thing ;o) "White Boy" & "Miracle" are great to sing along to, especially in the car -- this cd has been playing nonstop in my car since I got it. "Goodbye" is so great "Woah oh oh, Yeah ah ah, Woah oh oh oh oh" ... "Don't you go saying what is best for me!" I <3 it! Amy's voice is phenomenal in "Already Gone". "Bastard" is another good one and it has some amazing guitar & bass in it. "Daddy's Girl" is a great song. "Crazy World" is really good too, listen to the lyrics - it's so true. "March of the Luchagors" will wake you right up, the intro is INCREDIBLE! Its the last song of the album & it really makes you want more. I can't wait for the next one! So if you haven't bought it yet, I suggest you get on that & when you get it have all of your friends listen to it too. The Luchagors are AMAZING & this album is the next best thing to seeing them live.

    Amy, Shane, Jay , and Troy did an amazing job! Amy has this really cool unique quality about her voice. Whats cool is there is a song everyone can connect to and I love that! All of the songs are awesome but in my opinion the best song on the Cd is...Burn. It is a hardcore up beat sing along song that i love rockin out to!! Oh and the guitar solos are killer!! just sayin! haha

    The Gors music/lyrics is something I can relate to, gets me into a good mood. Definitely worth the listen when your just totally wiped out and had an off day. I've blasted it since I've bought it, + its been stuck in my head-the music is very catchy! Personally its better than any album ive ever purchased in my life, there is no comparison!! The CD is lucha-tastic, and yet again--I've gotten my arse kicked by The Luchagors music!

    If you are a fan of any kind of punk, rock, or metal music, or even if you aren't, BUY THIS ALBUM!!! It rocks and you won't regret it. The songs are so catchy and have driving guitar and drum beats that really get your head bangin'. On vocals, Amy's unique voice really tops the whole punk attitude of this album off as she delivers the killer lyrics with amazing fire and raw passion. My favourite tracks are White Boy, All There Is, and The March of The Luchagors, but i could listen to this every song on this album over and over again without getting tired one bit. Well done, guys! You've kicked major ass with this one! Can't wait for the album to drop!
