The new CD “Songs For Every Tribe”, just released by Rolltop Music brings together San Diego music producer Tim Coffman and singer Leigh Taylor. It is fair to say however that Tim and Leigh are not strangers to each other, “We go back a ways “said Tim, “we have worked together on various projects over the years. We both had talked about doing a project together and in 2007 everything just came together. It has been a great experience recording with Leigh. What I like about Leigh Taylor the most is that he doesn’t hold back anything when he performs”.
Taylor also worked with Coffman on the 2000 release of “Adventures in God’s Presence 6” contributing 3 songs and again in 2003 Taylor recorded “Lift Him Up” for the Rolltop release of “Worship Remixes”.

More Information:
Leigh Taylor:
In 1956, at the tender age of 4 Leigh Taylor performed the hit song “16 tons” in the Los Angeles talent contest Rocket to Stardom and went on to win first place. Several years later he became the youngest child DJ on LA radio KTYM. FM hosting a radio show that lasted for two years using the radio name The Mighty T.
1973 brought a new opportunity for Leigh, when he joined the cast of “Lonesome Stone” and toured with the Christian Rock Musical for 18 months performing in Britain, Europe and the US.
Settling in San Diego in the early 80s for the next few years Leigh worked with several bands including Dunamis, the Moon Cookies and more recently “The Leigh Taylor Band performing mostly original tunes.
In 2005 Leigh performed as Jima in the Lamb’s Players production of Pump Boys & Dinettesa. Leigh has also recorded 3 of his own CDs including Multiple Listenings, Leigh Taylor Band Live and Listen up. Leigh has been a worship leader at North Coast Church in Vista CA and is currently the worship leader at Trinity Church in Spring Valley CA.

The Adventures Worship Band:
In 1994 Tim Coffman created the worship series “Adventures in God’s Presence” which eventually grew into a seven CD series. As the interest in the music grew Tim began to receive invitations to perform the music live. In 1995 he started The Adventures Worship Band, which during the next five years would travel to numerous US cities, leading in “Nights of Worship” and putting on worship seminars. The Adventures worship music also received national exposure with airtime on praise and worship radio networks.

“That was a great season for all of us” Tim said recently, “but it was time to focus our attention on other things. We always wanted to go back out again but the time was never right”.
But that all changed in 2006 when a group of musicians and singers started doing some small projects together and the chemistry that emerged was the catalyst for this
new CD.
On “Songs For Every Tribe” Leigh Taylor joins creative forces with The Adventures Worship Band and Tim Coffman creates a fresh sound for the band,
“Songs For Every Tribe” combines two new songs (Holy, Holy Spirit and Glory, Honor & Praises) with some favorite Adventures songs that have been redone to reflect the new sound of the band.

The Adventures band includes: Singer, Leigh Taylor - Guitarist, Anthony DaLuz - Guitarist, Gary Santo-Pietro – Drummer, Steve Michaelson – Bassist, Tim Coffman – Percussionist, Roy Robinson

Tim Coffman:
In addition to writing and producing music, Tim is an artist that has released 5 CD of his own original instrumental music. “This is Fun (2002), “Nonstop to Paris (2003), “Beach & Guitar” (2004), “Music from Beach Boulevard” (2005) and “The Rhythm of Paradise” (2006). Many of the songs have become radio favorites. Tim is currently in the studio recording another CD.
Two of Tim’s songs were nominated by the International JPF Music Awards for song of the year for in 2006. I bought this CD as soon as I could get my hands on it. The title of the album is so accurate. God speaks through these fine musicians in different styles, like he speaks to all of us as individuals. I like playing this when I'm around my non christian friends or people who are really into good music. The response has always been the same, people suddenly sit quietly to listen to the richness and quality of Leigh's powerful God blessed voice. My musician friends have commented on the diversity of the music and how uplifting the music is. I can't agree more. I have two copies of this CD, one in my car, and one in my CD changer, and I plan to buy more as Christmas gifts. Would I recommend this collection of inspired worship music? I think I just did. Congratulations to Leigh and the band and to Tim Coffman for his fine production. God Bless you all!
