notes
Lo-Lite spits swamp gas for some five years now. During these years they sweated and stank on a lot of stages in and outside Holland . This Dutch two-man band, excelling in an original mix of raw stompin' blues and a high-octane punky rock tops the cream of the crap. A slithering slideguitar, some maniac vocals and pounding drums make a surprisingly heavy live sound. Lo-Lite absolutely hasn't the tinny sound one might expect from such a small band. Though bare boned primitive, the songs carefully evade quite some silly rock 'n roll cliché's, we're not talking copycats here, but the real HOW-HOW-HOW-HOW boogie chillin' thing.
Fresh back from a tour of Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Germany, LO-LITE plans to continue touring throughout the summer, including crossing the pond for a 2-week west coast tour, their first outside of Europe.
Before Sidekicks (2002), Lo-Lite released two albums, Basics (1997) and Comics (1999), some singles and some contributions to compilation albums and also appeared in a couple of broadcastings for Dutch national radio.
The hottest gumbo-infected low yo-yo stuff slide guitar blues 'n boogie you have ever heard escaping from your speakers!
