notes
From 1986 to 1996 muscians filled a bar on South St. in Philadelphia with sounds of free-spirit, improvisational music.
The Last Minute Jam became a weekly institution at J.C.Dobb's from 1986 until its closing in 1996.
The atmosphere of these jam sessions rose to legendary fame among the musical community & attracted such legendary artists as : Psychedelic Furs, Robert Plant band , Little Feat, Will Lee (of Letterman Late Nite Band) , Joe Zawinul's Band , Chris Squire (Yes) , Mike Tyler (LL Cool J) & Ace Frehley (Kiss).
All of them have sat in with the Last Minute Jam Band!
In keeping with the free spirit of Last Minute Jam, this CD was produced in the flavor of a "Live" session, most tracks recorded in one or two takes.
Some of Philly's finest took part in this benefit CD:
The Soul Survivors, Tommy Conwell, Eltro, Lauren Hart, Chuck Treece, Ben Arnold, Nancy Falkow, Wobbly, Cory, Stewkey of Nazz.
Produced by George Manney (Clutch Cargo®- Rolling Hayseeds - Burn Witch Burn)
Last Minute Jam Band : George Manney (drums), Greg Davis (guitar), Michael Radcliffe (bass) & Wally Smith (keys)
Partial proceeds benefit: Settlement Music School, Juvenile Diabetes Foundatin & Phila. Branch Recording Academy(NARAS)

OK, I didn't realize that these songs would LITERALLY be a minute long. But you get a lot of music for your buck and some great (as well as quirky and original) tunes. My fave was Tommy Conwell's "What I'd Say".
