"a singer's singer"
Billboard Magazine
Liz Queler spent last year exploring the musical landscape. From Carnegie Hall to coffeehouses, TV jingles to jazz standards, she has been using her vast vocal resources in a variety of projects.
Known primarily as a singer/songwriter with three critically acclaimed CDs to date, in the fall of 2002 Liz made her Carnegie Hall debut as a soloist in Leonard Bernstein's "MASS", a production that was repeated with the Dallas Symphony in November 2003. The fall also brought Liz back to the studio to record her fourth album, a long awaited CD of jazz standards performed with husband/producer/pianist Seth Farber.
One of the busiest keyboard players in New York City, Seth is now a Grammy-nominated producer as well, thanks to his recent work on Odetta's landmark CD "Blues Everywhere I Go". Seth has recorded and performed with artists such as Billy Joel, John Prine, Lucinda Williams, Joan Osborne, Phoebe Snow, Cliff Eberhardt, Willy DeVille, and Popa Chubby among others.
In 1996 Seth Farber released "Late One Night", a solo piano CD featuring original Rags and Blues. He is currently assistant conductor for the Broadway hit "Hairspray".
