..."all of me and nothing less, all of me I give you my best. But still it cannot compare to all of you, you gave back there on Calvary you gave your life for me." And that is the reason I sing! These are the words to the song "All of Me" from my debut album in 2003 "When Angels Sing" this album showcases my style of Inspirational and Southern Gospel music using a wide variety of instruments like piano, strings, drums, brass and other unique sounds. And there is more of the same on my 2006 release of "Dancing in the Rain"
My name is Linda Queen Andrews, I am a Georgia native raised in a wonderful Christian home. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. We started out singing as a family traveling to various churches together. Then as a teenager I joined a group called "The Reinhardts" whose song "Raise your hand" made the charts. Since that time I have sang with several other groups as well as at church. In 1992 I went solo and began writing songs, at this point my ministry broadened, I started singing at women's conferences, women's aglow, ladies retreats, coffee houses, banquets, weddings, ect... as well as appearances on Plus or minus 60 television show and our local TBN "Praise the Lord" show.
Song writing came easy for me, I had no idea that I had that in me. It all started when a guest preacher was at our church and he said "You know, it's just to dangerous to live without Jesus in this day and time" God put it into my heart to write a song about that so I did. The verses came easy, it just poured out of me and I couldn't write it down fast enough. But I was stumped on the chorus, God woke me in the middle of the night and told me to read Psalms 91 and there it was, my chorus and that completed my first song "Secret Place".
In 2002 God caused my path to cross with an amazing music producer, Felix Weber, he has worked with many big name artist and record labels Chaka Khan, Tony Braxton, Paul Anka, Randy Crawford, Tracy Spencer, LaToya Jackson, Nancy Wilson just to name a few. He's worked with BMG, Sony, and Warner. Kathy Troccoli released a song he wrote called "I'll be there for you" and now he is a new Christian with a heart that wants to follow God and I am blessed to have him. God told me to have faith and now through His orchestration of our blended talents I have two market ready albums.
In my heart I know that God has big plans for my music and I am very excited to follow His will in this. I also understand the importance of building a local following and just getting out there and doing what God has called me to do. That is where the ministry is, with the people and that is what I have done and will continue to do. In 2003 I moved to Ohio and basically had to start over but now I am being booked for many events as well as traveling to Georgia to sing. I am looking forward to what God has for me tomorrow.
Blessings,
Linda Queen Andrews
