notes
IN HER OVERALLS is a terrific collection of Linda Book's original songs. It's full of her long-time favorites.
"The Overalls Song" is a country-western celebration of Linda's favorite clothing item.
"Two Dogs Looking at Two Seals..." is a short little song with a very long title that is great for singing while walking along the beach.
"Berry Pie" is about a vegetarian wolf and his porcine friend.
"Preschooler's Lament" addresses potty training.
The others run the gamut from funny to tender, from lullaby to wake-up, and from cat to dog.
Linda's IN HER OVERALLS is a re-recording of her first album, which was originally done as a solo recording ten years earlier. Joining Linda is her long-time eclectic backup band, The Dog-Eared Pages. Band members are Robert Armstrong on accordion, banjo, guitar, and steel guitar; Jan Peters on mandola, mandolin, piano, and background vocals; Jeff Simons on electric bass and fretless electric bass; and Steve Book on drums and percussion.

author: Tamra ObornI as well as my entire family love Linda Book's first Album. We wore out this album on cassette and have wanted to get it since it came out on CD. I think we have everysong memorized and we all sing along. It is wonderful for the entire family. We just wish she would have No More Animals and Up Side Down albums made into CDs now too.
