Album Notes

"The Liberia Palmwine Experience II" is the second major popular folk music project by Liberian International Recording Artists/Producers, Charles Synclair Neal, III and Doughba Carmo Caranda, II. The first recording, "Liberia Palmwine Experience I ", a medley of memorable Liberian Folk Tunes, was produced on cassette in 1993 by Trail Blazers (of that mode of Music), Doughba Caranda, II, Charles Neal, III, and our dear departed brother, George Dunbar Knuckles, Sr. LPE II is exceptionally unique, and its musical flavor is "Typically Liberian". It is indeed, a Self-help Venture, a Post War Sacrifice and a Labor of Love for Liberia. Music lovers worldwide can experience an instant taste of Liberia through this creative body of work, which promotes true unity, peace and one love. LPE II also offers a three way entertainment treat, beginning with "The Children Rings Songs" (a typical Liberian playground experience), followed by an indigenous set of songs in Vai & Bassa. The third phase promotes popular Dancehall tunes of the 50's 60's and 70's. This CD is dedicated to all Liberians at home and abroad. Special homage goes to our parents, children, relatives, friends, all true supporters, as well as, past and present Liberian Artists and Athletes.
