This is Lewis Ross’s second collection of acoustic guitar instrumentals for Christmas, and it is a body of acoustic guitar music as enjoyable and full of good cheer as the first. For those who have heard “A Collection of Favourite Christmas Carols,” by the New American Guitar Ensemble, this will be welcome news.
On nine of these pieces, Mr. Ross masquerades as the New American Guitar Ensemble by recording each arrangement one part at a time to create the ensemble sound. The other two pieces(*) are duets with his good friend and well-known guitarist, Rick Ruskin.
