Album Notes

Levator began in the March of 2003 based upon the multi-instrumental skills of Sky Lynn. Levator was a solo project with intentions of becoming a band, but not hastily. In 2004 Sky recorded Midnight in her home studio; playing every instrument including but not limited to organ, drums, clarinet, vocals and guitar. After a few years of playing solo in town (Seattle, WA) and touring, Sky Lynn began to ask friends to play with her on instruments including moog, baritone guitar, trumpet, bass and drums. In 2006 Sky recorded her second album, Jackson Hwy. Barnes Drive. Sky nearly played all the instruments on this album as well. The album was almost complete when coincidentally a permanent drummer was found. Rando Skrasek kindly recorded drums on the three remaining tracks. While on tour to support the new album, Sky was contacted by Mary Genova who offered to play bass at the homecoming show in Seattle. Which has now continued and Levator has grown into a three piece.
