  • Beautiful when she explodes

I found Leslie on Myspace and knew I had to support her. The music is great. Her gimmick is..well, too gimmicky and off putting and I think it could hurt her in the end if she's not willing to evolve. But don't be fooled, behind all the talk of gems and dakini babies, Leslie is a mastermind. Right now it's all smoke and mirrors, but I hope in the future she will allow her music to get more personal and deep, alongside her excellent sense of humor. Such depths are only glimpsed at in tunes such as the secret track "Willow don't cry". The words are about a silly movie, but the music says something else...It's true she does have the freshest beats and she will take over your mind. She has a unique talent, there are few people around who are not only making this kind of music but making it as well as Leslie. Plus she's got Midwest Pride. Holla~!!

  • Ridiculously Good

I cannot stop playing this CD and I only wish it were longer! The songs are wonderfully catchy, upbeat, and the oddball lyrics are one of the best things about the album. Who would think of writing lyrics about gem sweaters, zombies, expensive camera equipment, and the movie "Willow," all within a single album? Leslie's singing voice is really good, but her rapping is in another league altogether. She raps like nobody's business, and it is amazing to think that she's not a "trained" singer or musician. In addition, the production on this album is a big improvement over "Gold Pants." The sound quality is much richer and it actually sounds like it was recorded in a studio. Buy it now!

  • Wow....

I have to say that I loved Leslie's first album, Gold Pants, but this one is really taking it a step up. She's stull funny as ever, but the production has really improved, as well as her voice. The songs here are mostly top-notch as well. I was a little disappointed with Mother Gem Lullaby though, I liked the older version without Arecee better. Still, songs like Zombie Killer make up for it so buy this CD right now!!!
