"Montego Bay"
Les Fradkin's Jangle Rickenbacker 12-String and Phil Spector styled Pop Production returns with a new release!
This new CD gives everyone a look at some of his newest music- drenched in hooks galore for fans of Beatles Pop and 70's AM radio Pop.
You'll also get to hear brand new versions of his origional MGM/Sunflower single "Song Of A Thousand Voices" and "You Can Cry If You Want To" which has been a must have for 45RPM collectors for years. These songs have been unavailable for 35 years.
New songs this time out include "Under The Covers", an autobiographical followup to "Jangleholic." Other newies include his iTunes smash single- "Through The Looking Glass" and "Take A Chance" which are slices of 60's & 70's Pop ear candy with hooks galore. His latest tune, "I Cry" is co-written with Amber Gomez of Venus In Bluejeans, and will grab you every time you hear it. All with Les' famous Rickenbacker 12-String guitar stylings mixed with his "sonic signature" production stamp.
Covers this time round include:
"Reflections Of My Life" (The Marmalade),
"Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again" (The Fortunes)
"Montego Bay" (Bobby Bloom),
and
"I'd Love You To Want Me" (Lobo).
And as a surprise bonus, Les sings his famous French Mireille Mathieu hit.... in French! Arranged with a nod to the original Paul Mauriat ("Love Is Blue")arrangement in mind, Les brings his self-composed Mathieu classic into modern sound.
This release is pressed on special edition BLACK Colored CD's which reflect crimson burgundy in bright light.
A BIT OF BIO:
Les Fradkin is one of the guitar legends of the 1970's. As well as being a veteran member of The Original Cast of Beatlemania, he has found success as a recording artist, composer and producer with MGM Sunflower, ESP-Disk', Bell, Arista, RCA, and Laurie Records. Les has written the well known French hit "La Chansons Des Souvenirs" ("Song Of A Thousand Voices") for the famous Mireille Mathieu. He has played 12 and 6-string Guitar, Bass, Mellotron, and Piano on dozens of Top 40 hit records throughout the early 1970's , scoring many US and UK chart placings throughout his career.
His 12-string guitar, vocals and production with legendary underground psychedelic folk- rock group,The Godz, resulted in several albums for ESP Disk among which "Pass On This Side" (featuring Les' song "God Bless California"), continues to influence and mentor generations of new musicians to this day.
In 1976, Les was selected over thousands of other auditioning guitarists to appear in the original cast of the smash hit Broadway musical "Beatlemania" playing lead guitar and the part of "George Harrison" in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago. Running for two and a half years from May 1977 thru October 1979, every show (including over 1200 in New York alone) was sold out and the musicians quickly became celebrities with magazine cover stories ("Newsweek","Time", "People", "Rolling Stone") and many major television show appearances. With his guitar-playing in the international spotlight from the show, Fradkin developed a cult following that has avidly followed his career and made him a celebrity among guitar fans.
He has enjoyed chart success on the net as well with his songs reaching mp3.com's 1 position 16 times! New Gandy Dancer Rock Magazine named Les' CD "A Day At The Beach" it's 2004 Album Of The Year. In addition, Les has performed with The Ventures as 2nd Lead Guitarist. Nokie Edwards of The Ventures has performed with Les on several occasions and is a featured guest on his "While My Guitar Only Plays" CD. In fact, Les has been acknowledged as a guitar virtuoso for over 30 years and he has been featured in issues of 20th Century Guitar Magazine, Pipeline and New Gandy Dancer Magazines.
Today, Les has released 15 solo CD's on his RRO Entertainment Indie label and has had over 300,000 downloads bringing him several substantial hits on Apple iTunes and other download sites across the Internet.

Knockout!
author: Eric Sorensen, Fufkin.comUnder The Covers - the latest jangle feast from pop-rock workaholic Les Fradkin. Les has been cranking out non-stop pop for the past two years; when does he find time to sleep?! On the heels of "Jangleholic" and "If Your Memory Serves You Well" comes yet another disc (on Les’ RRO Entertainment label) that will delight Baby Boomer music fans and captivate younger generations of pop music listeners. There are some knockout original tunes, some exceptional covers and chiming Rickenbacker riffs on most of the eleven tracks. Standout Fradkin-penned songs include the title song, “Through The Looking Glass” and “Song Of A Thousand Voices.” Les also reprises late 60s/early 70s AM hits “Reflections Of My Life,” “Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again,” “Montego Bay” and “I’d Love You To Want Me.” If you haven’t already become a fan of Les Fradkin’s music, start with this disc and then familiarize yourself with his back-catalog. If Roger McGuinn is credited with creating a signature “folk-rock” sound with his Rickenbacker 12-string guitar, Les should be credited with developing a signature “pop-rock” sound with his Rickenbacker 12-string guitar and pedal effects. In fact, JangleBox inventor Steve Lasko keeps asking Les how he gets the “sound” that he does … and I’m guessing that it will remain a secret! Long may you run, Sir Les!
