Lena Cullen, 21 years old, exciting, new, singer-songwriter, pianist and producer. Since she arrived 'In This World' she's been touching peoples hearts with her beautiful voice. Music is her soul food and her family.
Lena's original style of deep-rooted musicianship amalgamates songs of great intensity, a dynamic voice, to convey a strength, beauty, sincerity and maturity. Her music contains many diverse elements, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Pop and much more. "It's new music for a new century" Says Time Out Magazine
At 12, Lena and her Piano were captivating audiences and winning competitions for her performances. By the time she was 15 she was involved in the music scene, hanging out at places like Jazz Café and Ronnie Scotts, friendly with professional musicians, she then formed The Lena Cullen Band. They were creating a buzz around London, performing at prestigious venues as well as promoting own nights. The time came when she was just 17 to record the album 'Offering'. It captured the true live vibe of the band.
With an exceptional album under her belt, the band continued creating unique sounds and performing the magic. They were ready once again to record another album. 'In This World' stretches the boundaries of Jazz and Pop. Fusing classic retro instruments with modern sounds. Including guest producer Ian Shaw who is an extremely renowned singer, musician, composer and producer.
