What are we here for? God created us to Glorify him. So in word, thought, and deed Lecrae's mission is to do simply that. Understanding that Christians live as regenerate (born again) people in an unregenerate (not born again) world, he knows the odds are against him. With no ambitions of being the next big thing or dreams of fame and wealth, Lecrae simply wants to point listeners in the direction of the Cross.

If the message is the meat then the seasonings are the rhyme patterns, urban beats, and relational themes. Hip-hop has proven to transcend race and background, though losing some of it's vigor and integrity in the process, Lecrae wants to remain true in his music and ministry....UNCOMPROMISED.

    This is the best rap I've ever heard. I like rap, but I hate uncreative repetitive rap that lacks any charisma and that lacks lyrical purity. This guy will make you feel good and inspire you to live closer to God. It will challenge your preconceived notions about Christianity. God commanded Joshua to "be bold, be strong for the Lord your God is with you." LaCrae demonstrates that!!! If you like good rap or you appreciate good rhythm based music, you won't be disappointed with this one. It's a great CD for youth groups (especially urban centered ones). Before I wrote this review I scanned the reviews and they all said 5 stars!!! Figure that out.

  • Lecrae in my opinion is by far one of the best Christian rappers, and his CD brings a great message in every single song. Many times Christian music, Christian rap in particular is underestimated...but Lecrae's music has 5 stars in everything; beats, lyrics, everything. I was very impressed when I heard it, it sounded like something that should be on the radio.

    This is one of the hottest CD's yet. I wasn't really into Christian rap until I heard Lecrae's CD...now i'm hooked. I am wearing my CD out..I may have to buy another.     this is an extremely talented rapper, take away that hes a christian. just as a rapper, hes one of the best ive heard. he reminds me of tupac from his voice and the way he rhymes. but like 2pac his lyrics are deep and real, but even better than pac he represents God. i thank God for Lecrae and this cd, I'm gonna see him in concert in 3 days.

    Well, this CD just blew me away. After hearing so much of the same old, same old in hip hop this CD is FRESH. Right out the gate this dude slams you with his first track and it doesn't stop until the end. Nothing but quality in music and in lyrics. This might be my favorite hip hop CD of all time....seriously. Plus there is two hidden tracks I found but don't tell anyone I told you.
