The Deborah Lawson Group hails from Tallahassee, Florida, with it's roots in a duo formed by vocalist, Deborah Lawson and multi-instrumentalist Stan Rosenthal in 1994. There's something for every music lover here, from Stan's unique arrangements of upbeat jazz standards, to Deborah's smokey vocals on tunes like Coolsville and Black Coffee. Throw in some Hendrix and for fun, a jazz waltz version of Black Sabbath's Iron Man and you get a pleasureable listen by these talented folks.

blown away by gee baby and black coffee
author: david hilli have over the years collected many versions of these classics,rarely do you find much unique interpretation,but the lawson group did it, especially with gee baby and black coffee. had to listen several times, thinking back to the original artists. they would be proud to have the lawson group join their ranks.
