notes

Lauren Ellis' brand new release "Feels like Family" showcases her "Great Picking Skills" playing acoustic, electric, National Steel, lap and baritone guitars. Check out the first ripping slide/harp duet with Tony Joe White on "Dry as a Bone" .

Lauren can "Pick" sensationally, like you can't believe. You will love this CD and appreciate her vast amount of skill on all of these guitars.

This CD is highly recommended for your enjoyment! We also feature her first CD entitled "Push The River" on this web site as well, so be sure to check it out.

Very good vocals, and riffs, and songs! Everything about her is good! Keep it up, may be the next Tift Merritt?!!!

The Cut with Tony Joe White is incredible. This gal should be making the tour coming up with Robert Randolph and Eric Clapton. How incredible it would be to hear her doing a duet with Robert Randolph, and with Eric Clapton. What a show that would be. Listen to her sample on the CD Baby Page "Dry As A Bone" the music speaks for itself. This music being sold on CD Baby shows what a great web site it is to get the Music of Independent Artists. Not often do you purchase and album and enjoy the entire album, but Feels Like Family did it for me. I purchased two more and gave as gifts. The album is a balance of styles and sounds for every mood, and being female I have lots of those. Looking forward to playing it while sharing time with that special person. Va Va Voom

Not quite sure she has settled on a style that suits her fantastic guitar work. Her voice is sometimes too smooth for the white soul numbers. However when she gives the bluesier numbers a go she is as good as anything out there. Check out the track with Tony Joe White.
