Laura Meyer, a performing songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, sings songs that are shaped by the North American landscapes from which she hails. At twenty-four-years-old, she has already gained recogntion from National Public Radio (US), the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, the Starbucks Music Makers Competition, and the renowned Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Competition. Her unorthodox guitar-playing has drawn comparisons to John Mayer and Dave Matthews, while her emotive singing has been likened to artists as varied as Cat Power, Alanis Morissette, and Joni Mitchell.
