Color Wheel Cartwheel
Hey it's a song for every color in the rainbow - a dash of jazz, a sprinkle of country and a bunch of fun. There's a lullaby for a whale, a cha cha and a bluegrass jamboree.
Feb 2005 Laura wandered back to New Orleans to her buddy Mike's house and he helped put as much music and magic as possible into this recording. Her friend David drew the picture for the cover and voila - a color wheel cartwheel was born.
As luck would have it most of the musicians and a bunch of Laura's friends speak a different language so take a listen and you'll be able to say the colors of the rainbow in japanese or french or??? - you never know where you'll be when you need to say RAINBOW.
LA Times says
With marvelous musical chops and styles as varied as jazz, R&B and country, Texas-based folk singer Laura Freeman and deft Louisiana musicians serve up an effervescent odyssey through the world of color

Ever wondered what's really at the end of the rainbow? Here it is!
author: jan bellPure Gold! Definitely for children of all ages. Supreme song writing and no denying exquisite vocals. Fantastic band with New Orleans /Texas spice! Kids love it like mad. And thankfully, its a brilliant way to spin a disc and have fun for us grown ups too! PHEW! At last something for us all!!

I enjoyed listening to the CD and hope to use it in my future classroom. It's a great way to get children moving and teach them colors at the same time.
Finally, real music for kids.
author: Sharon SnowYou know how most music for kids is kind of sappy and when you play it for the kids in the car you try to tune it out. Well Laura's songs will have you stomping your foot along with the kids. It's bluegrass (yea!) and jazz (yea!) and just good music whether you're a kid or a grownup. My favorite song/color is Orange but all the rest are close seconds. Buy this CD, it's great.
