On Broadway, Laura is currently starring as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde…The Musical and has been nominated as Outstanding Actress in a Musical by the Tony Awards, the Drama Desk Awards and the Drama League Awards for her performance. She also originated Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, played Glinda in Wicked. Off-Broadway: originated Tina Denmark in Ruthless (Outer Critics and Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Musical). Regionally appeared as Sherrie Christian in Rock of Ages (Los Angeles), Dainty June in Gypsy, Louisa in The Sound of Music. TV credits include “Modern Men” (WB), “Cold Case” (CBS), “Veronica Mars” (UPN), “Happy Hour” (FOX), “Strangers with Candy” (Comedy Central), leading roles in the pilots "Dirtbags" (FOX), “All Grown Up” (CBS), Marah in "The Guiding Light" (1999-2001). Film work include: Dreamgirls, Jumanji, Life with Mikey, The Adventures of Huck Finn. As a singer/songwriter, just completed her debut "Y'alternative" Country album "Longing For A Place Already Gone" and a CD of standards "I'll Be Home For Christmas." (www.labrecordsmusic.com).
