LATIGO,is an acoustic, Folk, Western and Americana Music Trio
LATIGO is a trio of musicians that bring the romance of the rural Western lifestyle together with contemporary Folk, Western and Americana music in a genuine heartfelt sound with masterful musicianship. The combined talents of Ken Stevens (guitar, vocals, and song writer), Ben Ashby (bass, vocals) and Kevan Paul (fiddle, mandolin, vocals) create a sound that can entertain audiences of any age and from any place. LATIGO is a family friendly acoustic trio who seeks to share a creative and exciting Western Folk music experience.
All are members of the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists. They have grown up playing with a variety of musical groups. They now bring their collective talent's together to form the Western group LATIGO.
The members of LATIGO have been recognized nationally and performed on various CD’s. LATIGO’s current CD ,“Ridin’ ”, has been ranked in the Top Ten Western Music Albums by the Sunset Information Service, nominated for “Western Music Album of the Year” by the Academy of Western Artists, and two songs from the album were also nominated by the Academy for “Song of the Year”.
