Last Train Home, the much-lauded roots rock band, celebrated their 10-year anniversary by recording a live DVD at IOTA nightclub in DC, their home base, clubhouse and all-around favorite venue. At the top of their game, Eric Brace and Last Train Home rock the house in this awesome 100-minute live concert DVD.

Last Train Home has been delivering memorable live shows for more than ten years, and the place this band has played more than any other is IOTA Club & Cafe, in Arlington, Virginia.
This great club just across the river from Washington D.C. has been LTH's home ever since it got started there on a Tuesday night back in 1997. Now, LTH plays IOTA every two months, taking the venue over for three shows: Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday matinee. It's always packed, and if you're ever headed to D.C., be sure to schedule the trip around these memorable gigs. In April 2007, the band brought in cameras and microphones and captured what were perhaps the best shows of its acclaimed career. Band leader Eric Brace sings his originals, and a few choice covers (Carter Family, Tom T. Hall, Merle Haggard), and the band plays like musicians possessed. There's more than 100 minutes of music on this concert DVD, and if you've ever seen LTH at IOTA, you'll be happy to see they've managed to capture the magic. If you haven't seen LTH at IOTA, do yourself a favor, and watch the DVD, and you'll understand what all the fuss is about.

    I have seen the band twice live in Germany and this DVD gives you a good idea what that experience is like, although as Eric comments at one point the audience takes time to get warmed up. Excellent musicians and I love Eric's voice. They don't deal in clichés, they're original and deserve to be more famous!

    I chanced upon LTH about a year ago and immediately fell under the spell of their music - since when I have purchased their entire CD catalogue. I thought they must be a great band live but they've never been to the UK (to the best of my knowledge, unless it was before I had heard of them. So the live DVD was an excellent opportunity to see what we might have been missing over here.. and it is quite a lot. Great musicians, great empathy with the audience, to go along with the wonderful songs and Eric Brace's distinctive voice. This DVD will be a lifelong friend to my player. I hope they might be persuaded to visit UK sometime, soon!

They captured on film what makes LTH such a special live show: the generosity of spirit, the quirky and lovable personalities, the incredible musical talent, the wide-ranging song selection, and their connection to their loyal fan base.
