With a savvy backbeat and a badass attitude, The Last Stand fuses hard rock and hip hop to create a style not commonly seen today. The fat-voiced silver-tongued Chris Yahnis punches listeners in the ears while singer/instrumentalist Mike Mason creates the perfect rock-based gut driven backbeats. The two met in 2006 when Yahnis was running for student body president of their high school. The young musician Mason helped Yahnis release a makeshift acoustic rap demo that was released throughout the school and helped Yahnis gain the popularity needed to win the election. Since then, the two have been known for dropping freestyles at parties, small concerts, and the streets of their hometown of Myrtle Beach. Being the biggest artist in the rock/rap scene of Myrtle Beach is a tough gig, but The Last Stand sure pulls it off in style. Now they hope to take their music nationwide, and win the hearts every man, woman and child of the world.... by force.
