THE LAST 5 YEARS stars two of the most dynamic and acclaimed musical theatre performers in recent years, Norbert Leo Butz, a 2002 Tony Award nominee, and Sherie René Scott, best known as the award-winning star of Disney's smash Broadway musical Aida. Jason Robert Brown is considered one of the foremost composer / lyricists of a new generation of Broadway writing talent. For "Parade," produced by Lincoln Center Theatre, he won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Musical Score.
THE LAST 5 YEARS recording is a unique listening experience; a complete musical love story in 76 minutes. This innovative musical chronicles a young couple's 5-year relationship: her story starts at the end of their marriage and moves backwards in time; his begins on the day they met and moves forward. The show captures some of the most heartbreaking, hilarious and universally felt moments of modern romance told through 14 songs.

I was SO excited to get this CD because I had heard ONE song on it, the first one, and the rest were just as good as I had hoped! I had heard plenty from a friend and sure enough, even without seeing the musical, it was so entertaining and delightful. Fully enjoyable! Not 5 stars only because I only give those to CDs that changed my life. (ha.)
