THE LAST 5 YEARS stars two of the most dynamic and acclaimed musical theatre performers in recent years, Norbert Leo Butz, a 2002 Tony Award nominee, and Sherie René Scott, best known as the award-winning star of Disney's smash Broadway musical Aida. Jason Robert Brown is considered one of the foremost composer / lyricists of a new generation of Broadway writing talent. For "Parade," produced by Lincoln Center Theatre, he won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Musical Score.
THE LAST 5 YEARS recording is a unique listening experience; a complete musical love story in 76 minutes. This innovative musical chronicles a young couple's 5-year relationship: her story starts at the end of their marriage and moves backwards in time; his begins on the day they met and moves forward. The show captures some of the most heartbreaking, hilarious and universally felt moments of modern romance told through 14 songs.

Fabulous!
author: N. SampleI was SO excited to get this CD because I had heard ONE song on it, the first one, and the rest were just as good as I had hoped! I had heard plenty from a friend and sure enough, even without seeing the musical, it was so entertaining and delightful. Fully enjoyable! Not 5 stars only because I only give those to CDs that changed my life. (ha.)
