ABOUT LARRY DEAN:
Born in Perryton, Texas, Larry started singing Gospel music with his family. He organized and performed in various bands as he grew up in Balko, Oklahoma and Middleton, Idaho. It was during this time that he first started writing songs. In the early '80's he moved to Los Angeles and formed his own band, Larry Dean and the Shooters.

Larry Dean was singing his original songs at A Hard Core Honky Tonk in Los Angeles when a music publisher from Nashville dropped in, listened and offered him a job that same night. Larry moved to Nashville and became a staff writter for the Publishing company. It was there that Larry wrote his first chart record with WAYNE CARSON THOMPSON the writter of such songs such as "The Letter", "Always On My Mind", "She's Acting Single And I'm Drinking Doubles", just to name a few.

But Larry Dean missed performing live and after his contract was up returned to California and reformed his band The Shooters. But again fate would lead him back to Nashville. After signing a recording contract with USA Music Group, Larry Dean was back in Nashville showcasing at the Nashville Palace and was soon invited by Ralph Emory to do the NASHVILLE NOW SHOW, where he performed with the top acts of the day.

Always restless, Larry Dean started touring overseas and has appeared on such shows as "Good Morning Australia" and written with such writers as Larry Weiss of "Rhinestone Cowboy" fame. Their composition "It Must Be Angel Day" can be heard in the movie "Deep Impact" starring Robert Duvall. Other songs written by Larry Deanhave ended up in such movies as "Drowning Mona" with Danny DeVito, "Blue Desert" starring Courtney Cox and many others Texan Dale Watson also included a Larry Dean/Watson song "California Wine" on his Dreamland CD produced by Ray Benson the leader of "Asleep At The Wheel".

Larry Dean followed up his 22 debut Texas single "Barrooms Broken Hearts And Beer" With "THIS OLD ROCK", which is currently the 20 song on "THE TEXAS MUSIC CHART" and still climbing. A Music Video of this hit song has just been released and is starting to garner more attention everyday.

Check'em out, leave a comment, and if you have the time, take a look at the "Movie Trailer" for the screenplay "FROM BEL-AIR TO BAKERSFIELD" that Larry Dean will be shooting this year ........Yes, Larry Dean has been around for a while. Why?Why Not? He's still having a good time.
