Bio: for 30 years Larkin has performed in concerts around the world. He was the featured soloist at the 3rd World Wilderness Congress held at Findhorn, Scotland; his music has played on national and international radio programs. His album, "O'cean" was featured on the first "Lights Out" recordings from KINK Radio in Portland, OR. His first album, "To The Essence of a Candle" has continued to sell 30 years since its release. His meditative style and the rainbow of colors achieved through his music are his signitures.
"Stariway to Emptiness" was inspired by the final minutes of most yoga classes where the students relax and breath and just allow their breath to carry them. For over 2 years Larkin played for this part of his yoga classes and the recording continues that theme. Solo bamboo bansuri flute is the only instrument.
Reviews: "This music is so beautiful and poignant, I can only imagine what it is like to create such quiet powerful poetry with one's breath." Judy Sorrel
Getting ready for work the othr morning I slipped Larkin Stentz's new recording in my CD player. The wind and rain were playing their own composition, and I was hurring about; a guzzle of caffeine, feed the cats, watch the clock, etc. Enter Bansure flute. Within minutes there was an atmospheric change. Not background accompaniment, but a presence, a sound with intention...The results (of his recording) are stellar.
Dinah Urell - Hipfish review nov/dec 2006
A Ladak Monk once said the experience of emptiness is the experience of being connected to all life. This statement, written on the back of local musician Larkin Stentz's new album, "Stairway to Emptiness", sets the table for the beauty that is found inside...The music is a meditative ride on the trail blazed by Stentz's breath."

Testimonials
Tim and I have had your new CD on every night - the other night with the winds gusting round the house and your music accompanying...It allow his mind to clear, washes away responsibilities, fears, dreads, sorrows and the heaviness leaves him. Thank you. It's beautiful

Many thanks and blessings on Larkin for his sweet soulful meanderings on his flute. The music assists in allowing our minds to cease the endless chatter that can so easily occur during savasana. We get to float along with the current and eddies and occasional songbirds (of his music) to emerge rested and still with a body of light.
