ABOUT TIMOTHY LANIGAN:

A native of Ayr, Ontario and a member of a large musical family, young Timothy Lanigan is no stranger to fame. He recently completed an important role as a guest soloist in the Lord of the Rings Symphony at both Kitchener's Centre in the Square and at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto.

In his Toronto debut he was hailed by the Toronto Star critic as the "star of the show". He has consistently placed first in music festivals in Stratford, Toronto and Waterloo. Other important engagements have seen him appear as a guest soloist in "Elijah" with the KW Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra under Howard Dyck. In 1993, as a member of the Cambridge Kiwanis Boys' Choir , he toured England singing solos in five cathedrals.

At home, he is regularly in demand for concerts in various concert halls and churches. Last year he sang a full-length solo benefit concert for World Vision, raising over $3,000.

Clearly Timothy Lanigan has a professional musical career in his sights. But in his own words, "My greatest motivation comes from God. He gave me a voice, so I use it for His glory". Timothy is a grade nine student at Christ Lutheran School and studies voice and piano with Eric Dewdney of Cambridge.

Boy sopranos of concert quality are a rarity in North America. This recording will be one of only a few of its kind in the world and may just become a collector's item for those with a taste for the rare and transcendent quality of a boy's singing voice.

ABOUT THE CD:

"And there was Evening and there was Morning, the Sixth day."

It is the genesis of the world. A mighty force has been creating life and a place for it to thrive and everything is fresh and new and filled with wonder and potential.

On that final night of this seven day act of creation, man and creator go to sleep and await the dawn of the last day - evening and morning concluding the sixth day.

The seventh and last day is a day of rest, a rest that all of creation was purposed to enter into, a communion between creator and creation, a harmonious song of love and joy... what a morning!

He who designed and acted the creation saw also the discord that would arise to disrupt the harmony and made it so there is an even deeper song of creation that man and creator could enjoy even beyond death, even past the final moments of creation, when all will be restored.

"A second morning, an eternity of infinite possibility."
