notes
Emmy nominated and four-time Telly Award winner, writer-producer Lane Howard’s music is rooted deep in the heart of Texas. As a fifth-generation Texan, Lane Howard knows the Lone Star state. So well, in fact, that every note of his singularly memorable songs is steeped in the earthy, independent spirit that’s part of the DNA of every native from that special place. After all, it’s a whole other country, idn’t it?
A published song writer formally under contract to NBC Television, Lane cut his teeth in the high stakes world of Hollywood, California writing 2 cd’s of music for NBC’s entertainment magazine show, Access Hollywood.
Lane Howard is a nominated songwriter at the Napa Valley Music Festival and wrote and produced the theme song for the PBS television show, Antiques Country.
In March of 2003, Lane returned home to Texas, this time locating south of Austin in the Texas Hill Country. Not fitting any one musical category, Lane is free to conjure all he calls forth from within. By writing all his own material he is free from any possible comparison to other artists doing the same material. Sitting alone center stage with his acoustic guitar, he has moments of brilliance.

Wow!
author: Dirty Yellow DogWow, this is really great music. Homemade, front porch, foot stomping music. It's hard to find the real deal these day. Keep playing and thanks very much.
