Sri Lankan born Lalita has been singing and playing piano at Church since she was 9 years old. Arriving in Australia in 1990 after living in South Africa and Zambia she worked to establish herself as a singer and songwriter.
At 29 years of age, she made her debut as a solo recording artist with the release of her CD " Hymns - An Offering."
Her passion is to raise awareness and much needed funds for AIDS orphans living in Africa's largest and poorest Slum - Kibera. After seeing the need first hand during a recent visit, she co-founded a charity called 'Oasis Africa' in Australia. Profits of this CD will go to the care and running of a school for the care of 600 Children in Kibera Slum.

For the past ten years Lalita has been working professionally as a session singer, providing backing vocals on various Australian and Spanish albums. She also keeps busy with numerous solo performances including the National Anthem at the NBL and Melbourne Storm Game, Commercials and sung on Channel 10's Good Morning Australia and The Denise show on the Seven Network.
In this time Lalita has established a successful corporate career. She is currently in a senior software sales role at Fortune 500 Company where she has worked for the past 10 years. She holds a Business Computing degree from Monash University where she was awarded a full scholarship.
She was part of the cast in the hit musical 'Buddy Holly '-the 2001 Australasian Tour playing a Black American Apollo Theatre Singer - providing her with invaluable experience in live theatre/stage performance.
