Denise La Grassa is a singer/songwriter who performs in Chicago, New York, and a bit overseas. Her songs can be performed by anyone because of the strong
melody and lyrics in each and every one. She performs in Chicago at event, hotels, parties, restaurnats and the following clubs: Fred Anderson's world famous Velvet Lounge, Pop's for Champagne, and HotHouse.
New York engagements include: The Knitting Factory, FEZ, and H.E.R.E.
Currently, Denise is performing her solo jazz-theater piece at the Royal George Theater (Across the street from the Steppenwolf Theater) in Chicago. Her Show, entitled: "Is There Anything Going On Upstairs?" runs Wed. and Thur. evenings. Five songs on the CD "Pieces of Peace," including the title cut, are in this show. Hope you enjoy!
