notes
This spicy New York salsa release led by Fernando Pestana and featured some top talent like Jimmy Bosch, Papo Vazquez and Paquito Pastor. One of the lead singers is none other than Herman Olivera.
And there are some very fine arrangements here: listen to the use of Vicente Velez' baritone sax on "Aunque No Quieras." It's an indicator of how José Alberto would use it in his band shortly afterwards. And listen also to the drama build on the supremely dynamic salsa number "Bailare Solo." This track is arguably a classic. As is "Xiomara," yet another fine dance track. Also, the band is active.
THIS IS A MUST HAVE CD.

Tiene YUNFA !!!
author: DJ da YUNFA - Rotterdam - HollandFor me one of the best releases (reissue) of 2005. Bailare solo is one of my favourite songs to play, the dancers love it too (impossible not to love it). see my review on my weblog. http://yunfa.web-log.nl/log/4381574
Xiomara
author: Chanop Silpa-AnanWell, I really love Hermán's interpretation of Xiomara. He later redid the tune with Johnny Polanco which is great too. Also check out Mi amor tu volverás on 3D's Ritmo de vida which is so lovingly interpreted by Hermán as well.
