I love it!!! It is my favorite CD. It is very relaxing, romantic, and the best music Ive heard in a long time. I listen to it while doing homework, cleaning house and just relaxing in a nice bubble bath with the candles and a glass of wine. I cant wait for a #2. I just love it.

  • Laid back and beautiful!
    author: Eric Thomas

I searched a long time for music like this and finally found it. Coltrane, Marsalis, Garbarek... all great musicians but none have an album as consistently mellow and soothing as this. Feels like the comfort of a close friend on a lonely, rainy night. Beautiful!

  • Just what I was looking for
    author: Jo Philips (Belgium)

This is just the CD I was looking for. The melodious and melancholical after-midnight sound that only a saxophone can produce. And when it's played with such a virtuosity, it becomes a total relaxation experience. To share with the ones you love... Thanks Robert!

  • I would not change keep as is.
    author: Eve

When I am stressed I listen to Solo Sax #1 and while listening I seem to relax, all my tensions, and burdens seem to go away. I feel so relaxed after listening more than once in a day. I feel so happy as if I didnot have any worries? And If I fall asleep for a short period when I awake I feel refreshed, happy, relaxed!!!

  • This is music to dream by.
    author: Sharon Evans

This CD in a class by itself. This is music to dream by, to listen to alone or with some one you love that doesn't need conversation. The haunting and sometimes melacholy expression provokes meditation, or just letting your mind drift free of lifes troubles. I could listen and dream endlessly, even let my mind transend time and space with Solo Sax. Mmmmmmmmmmm!

  • Melodic, attention-keeping solo work
    author: van royce vibber

Hard to keep the listeners attention with just 1instrument. Hard to make old standards like Sophisticated Lady and Summertime sound different, but Kyle does it. His sax has an interesting, distinct tone. Keep up the good work and musical exploration, Robert.

  • I know the Man
    author: Archie Ed Buchanan

Having know Robert since the JOZ Band, this is the greatest solo sax that I have heard in a long time, begining probably before Robert was born. It has brillance, balance and beauty and is expressive of the man and his music. It's a great set of sounds for many. Thank you

  • A rare talent freed from the towering walls of acceptability.
    author: Keni

If you have purchased Solo Sax, you're probably not one to cross to the other side of the road when you approach a street musician. Instead, you will stop to savor the sound, the purity...and generosity of a rare talent freed from the towering walls of acceptability. Whether or not you dropped a quarter in the cup, you had a dollar dropped in your heart. If you haven't dropped a quarter in the cup, get the CD; you'll walk away richer.

  • Exactly as the title says
    author: John Gretzinger

Solo Sax is just what the title says it is - and it is wonderful to listen to. Sit back and enjoy Robert by himself. See the stage, the room, dark except for one spotlight on Robert and his sax. It's great for letting the mind take you on a trip, accompanied by melodies you know to support you on your journey - nothing to distract you. Take this one with you when you want to have some intimate time with someone special, sitting alone together on the beach at midnight, by the lake with the moon watching, or sitting in front of the fireplace at the ski lodge, brandy in hand. Great stuff. You did it again Robert. Thanks, jdg

  • Soulful solo jazz - a lone voice speaking out in the dark.
    author: David Stambler

I heard a few tracks online and was immediately hooked - so rare to find solo work so powerful. Truly lovely, somewhat haunting, and covering some choice tunes. Worth every penny. My only complaint was that it was much too short - as it was billed as sax played on the street under a streetlight, I guess I was expecting a little more than 35 minutes. Small gripes - I guess when you get quality you can't always demand quantity!

  • How about: sensational, sexy. soul satisfying; delightful, dynamic, delicious
