  • The Only CD I Want Playing On Stressful Days!
    author: Annette Saulet

I have always worked with music playing either on my desk or through my headphones. On those days when people are yakking all around me and phones are ringing off the hook and I need all my concentration abilities focused on what I'm doing, I play "That Other Place" and Robert's "smooth as ribbon" sax playing puts me in the frame of mind needed to drown out the craziness around me! I love all his work but am especially fond of this album.

  • A CD to enjoy again & again!
    author: Cassity

Kyle’s music is continually fresh and this CD’s eclectic blend of smooth, latin, and contemporary jazz make it easy to listen to again and again!

  • Awesome jazz music
    author: Rick Yount

This is the first CD of Robert's that I purchased, and I became hooked. The whole ablum is very good, but "Hangin' with the Bubbas" is my favorite. It's as good or better than anything you'll hear from any other artist. I recommend all his CDs, but this is a great one to start with.

  • Once When All Was Timeless
    author: Keni

You can judge how outstanding a CD is when the artist doesn't think it necessary to put his best track on the sampler list (this author's opinion). ONCE UPON A TIME might have been titled, Once When All Was Timeless, because it is. So, you may have to purchase the CD to hear this timeless work of art. But rest assured, you'll not be disappointed with all the great music that follows.

  • A TOP JAZZ CD THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HEAR!
    author: STEVE MULLIS

THAT OTHER PLACE IS REAL JAZZ. CAN NOT BELEIVE HOW GROOVY IT MAKES YOU FEEL. IT IS A MUSIC THAT YOU DO NOT GET TIRED OF HEARING.

  • A virtuoso variety
    author: Lee Brainerd

This was the first Robert Kyle CD we bought. We often return to it because the originality, humor, and lush qualities are always great to revisit.

  • A favorite in the Rob Kyle collection!
    author: Karla Ross

This was my first intro to this masterful sax player. This is still one of my favorites!

I love this CD. I see Robert when ever I can and own three of his CDs currently (Doors and Solo Sax are the others), but this one is my favorite. The music has straight ahead jazz as well as Brazilian flavored with Robert on Sax and Flute. The first time I saw him, the group played "Hangin' With the Bubbas" and I knew I had to have that album. OK, Hangin' is my favorite cut. I love the smooth sax, solid driving bass and the Hammond B-3 - especially the Hammond B-3. If you like a nice mix of jazz styles and are not sure which Robert Kyle album to buy first, this is the one for you. It's great music for driving up the coast with the windows (or top) down and the stereo up. Road Trip!! Care to join me? jdg
