Kathleen Rushing has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area her whole life. She has been playing the guitar and singing with children for over 40 years, although she doesn’t look a day over 37!
She is currently a semi-retired Kindergarten teacher and part time Children’s Music Performer, visiting schools, libraries, community events and just about anywhere kids are. She plays guitar, mandolin, a bit of banjo , harmonica and bouzouki. Her music is fun, interactive and suitable for Family Fun!
Kathleen has developed many of her songs while teaching in a high English as a Second Language population in New Haven Unified School District in Union City, CA. Her observation has been that kids learn the most when they are having Fun and putting concepts to song.
