Kristin Lems has brought her warm and witty performances to thousands of children in Chicagoland and beyond, at nature centers and libraries, in school assemblies, residencies, and children's birthday parties.
She has visited home daycare facilities as a strolling minstrel, worked with a family literacy program for Latino families, and performed for Chicago's Urban Gateways program with Jenny Armstrong. She performs now for special occasions with artist Peggy Lipschutz, who drew the pictures for the Sharing book.
Kristin's songs were "child tested" and inspired by the magic of children's everyday lives. The "Sharing" set is a bestselling item on Carolsdatter Productions and results in many re-orders. It is also used in early childhood listening centers, where children learn to read as they follow the words and listen to the tape on headphones.
